Stick season 2 premiere date: A June 2026 update

Is there any chance that we are going to hear more about Stick season 2 between now and the end of June? Of course, we would love to see the Owen Wilson series back sooner rather than later, but is that actually going to happen?

Well, the biggest thing that we can say at present is that the golf comedy had a successful first season and beyond just that, filming on the latest chapter is already done. By virtue of that, there are really two different things that are a priority — getting post-production done and then beyond just that, seeing what Apple TV decides when it comes to a possible start date.

An important thing to recognize here is quite simple — as great as it would be to get Stick back sooner rather than later, the reality is that we may have to wait a good bit longer. Apple does not have to rush anything along here, largely due to the fact that they already have a sports comedy set for August in Ted Lasso. Meanwhile, they may also opt to premiere Bad Monkey season 2 first, given that it has already been off the air longer.

Because of everything we’ve already stated, we would be surprised in the event that we are going to learn anything more regarding season 2 this month, or really in July. The best-case scenario at this point is likely that the next chapter starts airing this fall and if that is the case, we could see a formal return date revealed by the time we get around to Ted Lasso coming back. Beyond just sports, we do tend to think that both of these shows have a lot in common — especially when it comes to the sense of optimism through some hard times.
