Is Nathan D. Simmons leaving FROM, role of Elgin?

Following the end of tonight’s new episode of FROM season 4, have we seen the end of Nathan D. Simmons in the role of Elgin?

Well, the obvious place we should start off here is simply noting that we more than understand anyone who is feeling a measure of concern over that. After all, isn’t he most likely dead now? He was able to find a photo of the real Sophia in the past, forcing the Man in Yellow to reveal the truth about his new alter ego. Odds are, there is no way that Elgin leaves now in one piece — why tell the truth otherwise? The only situation that this happens is in the event that we end up seeing Elgin become the new avatar, which at least seems possible given the fact that it would be a great way to hide as someone else for a while.

If this is the end for the Elgin we have to come to know, we are certainly going to miss him. He was always a fascinating underdog in the town, but then also someone tormented in some ways that are hard to explain. He was manipulated and coerced into everything regarding Fatima and beyond just that, he lost in eye in the interrogation after the fact. He’s been working to try and redeem himself to some, and to have his story end in this way is truly tragic.

The one other key thing to wonder

This one is honestly not that complicated — aren’t the residents of the town going to learn that Elgin is dead soon? This could be a really hard thing for Sophia / the Man in Yellow to cover up but at the same time, we may also be reaching a point now where they really do not care anymore.
