Widow’s Bay season 2: What is under the doors?

At this point, we certainly know that there is a lot to be eager about when it comes to Widow’s Bay season 2 — including a number of loose ends.

Which ones come to mind first and foremost? It can be hard to narrow down the list, but we are thinking in terms of who killed Shep in the premiere, provided it was done via electric chair. Meanwhile, who were some of the other people who helped to unearth Richard Warren? Then, of course you have whatever was under that door we saw within the chair chamber. We’re getting a good sense that people are being “fed” somehow to the island, but what exactly does that mean? Clearly, there is something lurking deep underneath, and it makes sense to want answers.

Speaking to Deadline, creator Katie Dippold had more to say about the torture chamber that we did see within the finale:

I mean, we’re gonna learn more about it later, hopefully, but it’s like what the projector videos describe, what Dale discovers, it explains it. That’s a system that they’ve come up with that you see back in 1702 when Sarah Warren finds that room, and it’s a system that they’ve modernized over the years to keep things quiet and safe and calm, and so that is that. And what exactly is under those doors, that would be for later.

Given how Dippold spent decades coming up with all of the various elements of this show, it only makes sense to assume that she has various plans and ideas that stretch for an extremely long period of time. That makes sense, but we now hope that everyone gets to work on season 2 in the relatively near future.
