Is there a chance that we may be able to hear something more about Ballard season 2 before the month is over? In theory, we understand if anyone is starting to get a little impatient on the future, and for a multitude of reasons.

Where is the best place to start? Well, that feels rather simple: By just noting that a lot of episodes for the Maggie Q series should be in post-production at the time of this writing. We tend to think that everyone wants the next batch of episodes to be as strong as possible. However, at the same time we hardly believe there is any real reason to rush. Even when the entire season is done and ready to air, the folks over at Prime Video are the ones who have the final season on many things.

So what could the be saying when it comes to a season 2 premiere date? Well, as a part of a new Variety profile of the aforementioned actress, it seems as though the plan here remains to bring season 2 to the streaming service next year. Our hope is that it will be early in 2027 so we are not stuck waiting for some extremely long span of time.

Now as for why we would be waiting that long to begin with, we do not necessarily think that there is some insanely long post-production period that would force the issue on that. Rather, our general feeling is that Prime Video may just have a pretty stacked lineup of similar shows for the rest of the year. We know already that they have The Terminal List and Reacher both coming back before 2026 is over, and both of them have been off the air for a longer span of time. That is without even getting into the upcoming Neagley-centric spin-off.

What are you most eager to see at this point heading into Ballard season 2, no matter when we get it?

Be sure to share right now in the attached comments! Once you do just that, remember to also come back — there are some more updates coming up soon.
