Law & Order: SVU season 28: Could Jalen Brunson appear?

Let’s go ahead and make one thing clear: Nobody is having a better month than Jalen Brunson. Not only did the New York Knicks star just win the team its first title in over 50 years, but he also won Finals MVP! He is easily the biggest star athlete in the whole city and now, he may have his sights set on another institution.

In a post on the official NBA Twitter account after last night’s pivotal Game 5 win, Brunson proclaimed that his new big goal was to try and get on Law & Order: SVU — and honestly, doesn’t it feel like it could happen?

There is an obvious, personal reason why a guest spot / cameo could happen — SVU star / executive producer Mariska Hargitay is a huge Knicks fan and made multiple appearances throughout their Finals run. She and Brunson already have some sort of rapport with each other. Logistically, it also feels like it could be coordinated without a big issue. The crime drama starts filming in the summer and, potentially, prior to when the Knicks would be kicking off training camp. (If it is not filmed before September, it would obviously be a lot more challenging logistically to pull off and you may need to wait until some sort of natural break in the basketball schedule.)

Do we imagine that Jalen would have a huge role? Probably not, but we’d like for him to be more than just a dead body who turns up somewhere. Let’s just hope that Mariska sees the aforementioned video — or, that they have already talked about a way in which to try and make something like this happen.
