FROM season 4 episode 8: A Tabitha, Man in Yellow history lesson

We do recognize that at this point, FROM season 4 is propelling rather quickly towards something excellent — but at the same time, something dangerous. Given that there are only a few episodes left, it makes sense for almost every story o take on more meaning than what we have seen before.

For the sake of this week’s installment, some of this meaning also goes back to the past — far into the past, to be a little more specific. Tabitha has now seen the Man in Yellow! Also, what do we make of some of the information handed down here?

In the closing minutes of episode 8, the Man claims that the last thing he would ever want to do is kill Tabitha / Miranda / whoever she was before that, as she is one of the closest things to a friend that he has. Also, she does not yet truly remember everything about who he is. This means that there could be something more that Tabitha could learn, even if the process of doing this is going to be really tough to pull off.

What we are more eager about now is the possibility of a full episode (or at least a part of one) someday exploring more of the origins of these people and how all of this began. We do think there could be something to the idea that the Man in Yellow cannot kill Tabitha directly; however, the rest of the town could do it instead. This was alluded to within the Jade story from earlier this season, where the town has always turned against past versions of him. Meanwhile, it was stated there that what often happens to iterations of Tabitha is even worse.
