Only Murders in the Building season 6: Martin Freeman, more cast
One day after learning that Simone Ashley and others were joining Only Murders in the Building for season 6, there is some other big news to share! Another group of actors have been brought on board the hit Hulu series, and they include everyone from a Spice Girl to a star of Sherlock.
According to Variety, some of the new additions include Martin Freeman (“Sherlock,” “The Responder”), Geri Halliwell-Horner (“Gran Turismo,” “Sex and the City”), Jamie Demetriou (“Stath Lets Flats,” “The Moment”), Anjana Vasan (“We Are Lady Parts,” “Black Mirror”), Jane Horrocks (“Bloods,” “Sunshine on Leith”), Derek Jacobi (“Gladiator,” “The King’s Speech”) and Lesley Nicol (“Downton Abbey,” “Blackadder”). As is often the case for this show, there are no specifics out there just yet regarding the individual roles.

What this information does cement to us further is the simple fact that the producers here do want to continue to have a large cast, mostly to ensure that there are also a lot of different suspects. The victim this time is Cinda Canning (Tina Fey), a podcaster who really helped influence Charles, Oliver, and Mabel to get into the medium in the first place. Given the history that we have seen on this show over the years, we tend to imagine that the SNL alum will be making a series of appearances over the course of time.
As for when season 6 of Only Murders will premiere, there is no clear information on that yet. Our hope, of course, is that we see it either at the end of the year or the start of 2027. (Remember that production did start later this time around to some of what we have seen in the past.
