The Bear season 5 trailer: The flood and the food

Later this month The Bear season 5 is going to be here and with it being the end of the road, doesn’t it feel like almost anything can happen?

Well, from where we sit at present, we would honestly consider that to be at least one part of the charm. This show has been intense, funny, and emotional all at once and moving into the end, it really seems to be all about a fight for the future. Is there any way the restaurant can stay open?

If you head over to the link here you can see the full season 5 trailer from start to finish and in it, you see Cicero telling Richie first and foremost that he is going to sell the building. They are out of money and seemingly out of time — and that’s without even mentioning that at some point, the kitchen may get flooded.

Is there still an x-factor who could eventually turn the time? If so, we tend to think that their name is Carmy, and they may still have at least something to say about this by the time the show actually concludes. Jeremy Allen White’s character does seem to be putting on an apron in the trailer, which is certainly a welcome sight given that at the end of season 4, he seemed happy to quit and pass it along to Sydney and Sugar to run. We can’t speak to whether or not he will find a true love of cooking in here, but there is no questioning his skill. Heck, we’re not sure that there ever was at any point during the first season at all.

Ultimately, we just hope that these upcoming episodes get the show back to its creative high point back in season 2.
