Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 9: Does Richard Warren still linger?

As many of you may be aware at this point, Widow’s Bay season 1 episode 9 is going to be the penultimate episode of the season. By virtue of that, whatever happens here is almost sure to carry over directly in the finale. We imagine that there are going to be some more unexpected twists, but could there also be some more continuity? One of the more interesting things about the Apple TV series right now is that events from past episodes are not always that acknowledged.
Want a prime example? Well, consider how nobody has really spent that much time discussing Tom and his whole truesight-fueled journey through the town earlier this season. Heck, we still do not know everyone who helped dig up Richard Warren!

Speaking of Warren, the official Twitter for Apple TV did recently share a message that we do find to be rather fascinating. After all, within it we get a notice that “this is your final Warren-ing” along with a reminder to watch the show. What does that mean?
Well, one natural read of what we are looking at here is the theory that is out there that there is another resident of the town who is a descendant of Warren’s and within that, they could be the person behind all of the recent occurrences. This would in a lot of ways justify the notion that we spent an entire episode looking at everything when it comes to the origins of the town; also, it leaves open still a lot of other potential subjects for a season 2. Sure, a lot in Widow’s Bay may trace back to Richard Warren, but he is not the only person who matters over the past several centuries there.
