NCIS season 24 premiere date: A June 2026 update

Is there any chance that we are going to hear more about NCIS season 24 between now and the end of June, including a premiere date?

Well, first and foremost, let’s begin here by noting that the long-running crime drama ended season 23 in a particularly shocking way. Just consider what we’ve learned at this point! Torres and McGee’s biological son Mateo were involved in a standoff in the closing minutes of the finale and at that point, it remained very-much a mystery as to what was going to happen from there. Would we end up seeing one of them shot or even killed?

Based on what we’ve heard already about the NCIS season 24 premiere, it does not appear that either one of them is going to be dead immediately. After all, there is no real reason to do that since it limits the story. We tend to think instead we are going to learn more about what Mateo is mixed up in, especially since it strongly influenced his position in the finale in the first place.

When will you actually see the show back?

Think late September or early October. There is a chance that we do get a premiere date revealed before we get to the end of the month but if not then, think the first half of July. It just makes the most sense here for CBS to do whatever they can to make this announcement early so that they can promote it through most of the summer. We anticipate production to start up around its typical time, so there should not be any major change there.
