Tulsa King season 5 could film in New York, if renewed

At the time of this writing, there is no official Tulsa King season 5 renewal over at Paramount+. With that being said, it is not too hard to consider it a foregone conclusion at this point.

So is there at least something big we can say about the potential story at this point? It at least feels that way. According to a new report coming in from Variety, the plan is for the setting of the show to shift to New York in the event Sylvester Stallone and company come back. The writers are already at work crafting the next chapter of the story.

So why is the show potentially going to shift away from Oklahoma as a setting? Well, it appears to be twofold. There is a consideration here tied to the show’s budget, especially with new incentives being out there now to film in New York State. Beyond just that, though, there is also something more to think about here when it comes to the creative, as Dwight was originally from New York and it would make sense for him to eventually find his way back there — especially to face off against some old enemies.

For now, our feeling is that there is a good chance that Tulsa King gets greenlit for another chapter before the fourth season even airs and if that turns out to be the case, we could see from there the show ultimately arriving once more in the late summer or fall of 2027. We do firmly believe that this is one of those series destined to last however long Stallone wants it to, as his presence is really one of the primary engines of the whole thing behind the scenes.
