The Testaments season 2 premiere date: Is 2027 a sure thing?

We are getting further and further removed from The Testaments season 2 airing on Hulu and within that, questions are of course going to mount regarding season 2. We know that we are going to get it so within that, the bigger question comes down to when.

For those who have missed some past conversations about the future of the show at present, it does appear as though production could start on the next chapter before the season is over. Given that the writers have been working on scripts for a little while now, that certainly adds more validity to the idea. Given that you have a show with a younger cast, as well, we also imagine that it is all the more imperative that you move rather quickly. The more that you end up drawing all of this out, the harder it would be to keep up a pretense of realism.

Based on everything we’ve lined up already, it feels very likely that the second season will premiere at some point in 2027. Of course, we say that recognizing that entertainment can be a pretty fluid industry and things can often change for a multitude of reasons.

Beyond everything that we have listed already in this piece, perhaps the biggest guiding light may just be the simple fact that Hulu seems to be fairly committed these days to the idea of getting seasons of their shows out to the public in as short of an amount of time as possible. We have seen this as of late with Only Murders in the Building and Paradise, so why would it not transfer over here, as well?
