MobLand season 2: Helen Mirren offers support for Tom Hardy

In the midst of an ongoing news cycle regarding Tom Hardy and his future on MobLand, the actor has certainly found himself a notable supporter: Helen Mirren.
This afternoon the actress (and industry icon) posted a photo of her co-star on Instagram, one with a pretty simple but powerful caption: “Love you now and always.” This is a nice reminder that there is a sense of warmth between people behind the scenes, even as there are rumors surrounding whether or not Hardy will return for a still-unconfirmed season 3.

Amidst all of the reports and allegations about whether or not Hardy wants out of the series, or some claims about tension on and around the set, it may actually be the best thing for MobLand at this point to find a way to sort all of this out. This show is undoubtedly a major hit on Paramount+ and just when you consider that alone, there is value in everyone using it as a platform for whatever it is that they want to do moving forward. Beyond just that, they will get more positive press sticking with it than departing, where they will likely be asked about various things for months on end (if not years).
Given the way all of these headlines have taken over the press cycle around this show, we are of the belief now that a lot of this could be sorted out in the relatively near future. Just like it could benefit many to stick around the show, it would also benefit them to be able to move forward. Filming for the second season is already done and at this point, we are just waiting for the streaming service to reveal a date. Would they really want to do that in the midst of all these reports?
