Ballard season 2 premiere date: A May 2026 update

Is there a chance that we are going to hear more regarding Ballard season 2 between now and the end of May? It may go without saying, but of course we’d love nothing more than to be able to dive into the Maggie Q show again.

As many of you may have already heard, filming for the Bosch: Legacy spin-off first began earlier this year, and that does leave the door open for us to be able to see it at some point before 2026 wraps. This should not be a difficult series to edit, all things considered, which means that its premiere date may be largely dependent on some other shows and where they lie on the schedule. Remember that when it comes to action dramas, Prime Video already has Reacher season 4 and The Terminal List coming out this year; they will have to find a way to place Ballard somewhere in there.

So is there any chance that some specific information will launch before the month is over? That would be wonderful, but it is also unrealistic. We are not of the belief the show is far into into the post-production process for something like this to happen. Our feeling is more so that a date will be announced when we get around to the summer, with it actually launching a few months after the fact.

Streaming series do not always have a long shelf life; the fact that the original Bosch lasted as long as it did, without even considering the follow-up series, is still all sorts of a miracle.
