The Traitors US season 5 premiere date: A May 2026 update

At any point between now and the end of the month, could we actually learn more about The Traitors US season 5, whether it be the cast or premiere date?

First and foremost here, we should really start by noting that in a lot of ways, we understand why there could be a certain expectation out there. After all, remember that over the past couple of years, we have had a chance to see a cast reveal at around June. It makes sense to want something similar here, or at least get a whisper or two as to what could be coming up next.

So why is there a chance that does not happen as early this year? Well, it has a thing or two to do with the fact that there is an all-newbie version of the show coming to NBC and depending on filming timelines, announcements around it could take top priority — especially when it is premiering in the fall. The Peacock version of The Traitors US, the one featuring reality stars, social-media influencers, and other notable names, is likely still going to premiere early next year. We still think it makes sense to announce this cast over the summer, at least so long as it films at that point. The one thing that you absolutely do not want to do if you are Peacock is allow the internet to spoil your cast before you get it out there. The big reason why we often learn this at the time in which we do is because they want to be able to control the narrative.

No matter what happens moving forward, though, we are anticipating a universe where we will probably not be learning much more about this season through the month of May, especially when there is no real reason for anything to to be rushed at this point.
