She has made sporadic appearances throughout the season, and we would love for Danny Reagan’s former partner (and also now love interest) to be a larger part of the already-renewed season 2.

Meanwhile, the big surprise from the preview is the return of Will Hochman as Joe Hill, someone who we have not seen since the original show ended. The actor has been busy working on the upcoming The Boys prequel Vought Rising, so getting him back in any capacity here is a treat.

In the end, the thing that we are perhaps just the most excited to see tonight is Boston Blue both honor what came before and work to have its own DNA, as well. We are sure that there will be a few elements from the original show scattered throughout once again tonight, including something akin to the family dinner. Yet, is there a chance to do a dramatic cliffhanger or anything else that Blue Bloods is not altogether known for? These are certainly things we are excited to figure out in just a matter of hours. We are sure that on the other side of the episode airing, we will be able to learn more about what a second season could really look like.
