Elsbeth season 4 premiere date hopes over at CBS

Given that tonight serves as the Elsbeth season 3 finale at CBS, there is really no better time to start looking towards season 4.

The best place to start here is simply just pointing out the Carrie Preston drama’s status, including that a new season was greenlit several weeks ago. It was rather nice that we could go into the end of the season without any sort of concerns that this could be the final one. It also enabled us the opportunity to just enjoy the show for what it does best: Mysteries and escapism. It is a bit of throwback tonally and there are really not too many other shows out there quite like it these days.

So when we do start to look more and more towards the future of Elsbeth, it is worth noting that it will be moving forward to a new timeslot this fall starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. It will remain on Thursday nights, and will follow up the one-two punch of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and then also the new comedy Eternally Yours. On the other side of it will be Cupertino, the new drama from Robert and Michelle King that stars Mike Colter, who worked with the two previously on Evil. (Elsbeth is of course a spin-off of The Good Wife, and both of these shows also have the Kings on board as executive producers.)

Odds are, a season 3 premiere date is going to be announced at some point this summer; if we are lucky, there are going to be new episodes airing starting in late September or early October. It is hard to imagine any big changes but still, there are plenty of months ahead for some announcements to be made.)

What do you most want to see at this point moving into Elsbeth season 4?
