Only Murders in the Building season 6: Da’Vine Joy Randolph is back!
In case you are not aware for a wide array of reasons, this week is a huge one when it comes to Only Murders in the Building season 6.
Where do we start here? Well, it is certainly worth noting that filming is now underway on the latest batch of episodes! In a post on Instagram, Steve Martin confirmed the news that the cast and crew are back at it in London, which is where the entirety of this season will be filmed. (If the Arconia is still a part of the story in a direct way, clearly the producers are going to find a way to mirror it across the pond.)

We have been wondering for a while who outside of the key trio of Oliver, Charles, and Mabel would be a part of this season. Obviously, it makes sense that we are going to see a decent amount of Tina Fey, given the fact that Cinda Canning was the latest murder victim and we tend to see them in flashbacks the following season. Meanwhile, Martin’s social-media post confirms the news that Da’Vine Joy Randolph is also going to be coming back in the role of Detective Williams, which absolutely makes us happy. Out of all the recurring characters on the show over the years this is one of the best. She is extremely funny but at the same time, also someone who is a legitimate asset for our main characters.
While we imagine that we are going to be seeing some new faces over the course of this season, let’s hope that there are opportunities for a few other longtime favorites, as well. What would this show be without the likes of Howard and Uma?
