Top Chef: Carolinas episode 12 preview: The final five face off

Next week on Bravo, we are going to have a chance to see Top Chef: Carolinas episode 12 arrive. So what is the story going to be here?

The top story entering the next episode of the show has to be the setting — after all, we are officially heading to Asheville! This is where the remainder of the chefs are going to be forced to prepare something for 200 people — and also in the middle of the woods!

One thing that we have certainly learned about this show over the years is that moving to a different place can be a sort of reset for a lot of the chefs. You have a chance to breathe in new energy and hopefully, allow you to regain some inspiration. We tend to think that one of the real unspoken parts of this show is just how mentally exhausting it can be to have to impress people time and time again. (With that being said, is there really going to be that much time between cities? That still remains unclear.)

We would still argue that for now, Laurence is the favorite to win the whole show — but could that change? Well, that is certainly possible.

Here is one of the crazier things about where things stand: Sieger could actually still win the show! He was eliminated, brought back due to an unexpected change, and despite having some struggles, he was at the top alongside Sherry this week! We will say that it is any chef’s game, since really a lot of the show is about hitting your groove at the right time and figuring out how to best present yourself and the sort of food that you make. He and Sherry both did that tonight, but can they keep it up?
