Boston Blue season 1 episode 20 (finale) promo: A new look for Danny

Do you want to see something a little bit different for Danny Reagan on Boston Blue? Then we think you are going to enjoy what lies ahead in the finale.

If you need a quick reminder, earlier this season it was noted that Donnie Wahlberg’s character is going to have to spend some time as a uniform cop out in the streets, a condition of him transferring over from another department. This is something that is relatively new for him these days and with that, it’s a chance to harken back to some of the character’s early days on the force. Also, it could put him into a little bit of danger, as well.

Based on what the promo for the finale highlighted last Friday, Danny will be spending some time with Lena in the next episode — but also spending more time with his son in uniform? It seems as though at least one unexpected situation could arise, and we certainly would not be shocked if all of this leaves to a jaw-dropper or two that sets the table for season 2. It could be a traditional cliffhanger, but it could also be some sort of small tease for what a season 2 could end up looking like.

No matter what, we’ve really enjoyed going on this particular journey with Danny throughout Boston Blue season 1 — though we hope that we are going to see more characters from the original show in season 1. In particular, can we get more Baez? Maybe that is just the ‘shipper part of us speaking out to some degree…
