Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight on HBO? If you are out there anticipating a possible hiatus tonight, we do understand. We have had several weeks of new installments as of late and beyond that, we are also getting closer to Memorial Day Weekend. If there is a time in which a show like this is meant to be off the air, isn’t this it?

Well, this is where we do have to come in here to share some measure of good news: You are going to see another installment in just a matter of hours! There is not too much out there about the content of the episode tonight, but we are still pleased to get it nonetheless.

In general, we will say that Oliver has been in the midst of a rather nice 2026 run. While many of his segments have not gone viral in a way some did during his earlier years, he has taken on a number of notable topics and raised big questions for Americans to think about regarding the government, online safety, and a handful of other topics — hile also being hilarious. We do believe the season will run until at least November, so there is also still a lot of time left.

Now if there is any bad news here, it is the simple fact that once we get to the end of tonight, that is where a break will be waiting for us. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is off next week for Memorial Day Weekend, and we will have to wait and see what is coming on the other side of that. We do know that there are some longer hiatuses that happen at times in the summer.
