The Cage season 1 episode 5 spoilers: The epic finale

Next week on BBC One, you are going to have an opportunity to dive into The Cage season 1 episode 5. So what can we say in advance?

Well, first and foremost, it is worth noting that this is the all-important finale, and that means that for Matty and Leanne, we could get an element of closure. This was pitched as a five-episode arc and with that, it is hard to anticipate some sort of big, jaw-dropping cliffhanger at the end of it all. The entire premise of this entire show has been intense from the start, which has been all about two people getting in way over their head.

As forces close in on Matty and Leanne, and the evidence stacks up against them, can they pull off one last roll of the dice?

Ultimately, given that gambles have been a huge part of the show, why wouldn’t they also be at the end of the finale, as well? We do tend to think that almost anything could happen here — they could be arrested, or will they actually get out of this in one piece? That may sound crazy, but it could very well be possible.

One other thing that we are left to wonder here is rather simple: Even if the story is settled here, will Matty and Leanne ever be the same? Would they be tempted to somehow get into this world again? On one level, you can argue that it is crazy. However, we do still think that it could be rather possible here — if the decision ever does get made to bring the show back for another season.
