As we look towards Boston Blue season 1 episode 20 on CBS next week, there is one thing we can note first and foremost: This is the big-time finale. Are you ready for all that implies?

First and foremost, we certainly want “Patrol” to be the biggest story that we’ve had a chance to see all season, one that delivers a lot of twists and makes us wonder whatever the future could be. We recognize that a season 2 has already been ordered and in theory, that takes some of the pressure off … but there could still be a lot of problems across the board for Danny Reagan and others.

“Patrol” – A dangerous investigation collides with pivotal personal and professional decisions, pushing the team to their limits. As the D.A. election draws closer, shifting dynamics and an unexpected incident heighten the urgency and raise new questions for everyone involved, on the first season finale of BOSTON BLUE, Friday, May 22 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

Is there a chance that we’ll get a big cliffhanger?

If you think back to the original Blue Bloods, that is not actually something they prioritize a lot of the time. Do not be shocked in the event we end up seeing something a little bit different, mostly because this is its own show with its own rules. Personally we’d love something that suggests we could be seeing more of Baez next season — or, maybe a cameo from the original show that has not been announced as of yet.
