As we prepare to see Boston Blue season 1 episode 19 on CBS next week, of course there are a few things worth noting. Where do we start?

Well, first and foremost, we should really take stock in the fact that we are closing in on the all-important finale … but we are also not there just yet. “Chasing Monsters” is the penultimate story of the season and from what we’re hearing right now, it is going to throw some of these characters into a different sort of crisis — one that could prove to be more personal than anything else.

“Chasing Monsters” – A deadly threat strikes close to home, pulling Lena, Danny and the team into an intense investigation that stirs buried grief and tests their resolve. At the same time, Mae faces a political and personal reckoning, prompting a revelation that pushes Lena toward a life-changing decision, on the CBS Original series BOSTON BLUE, Friday, May 15 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

Even though this show is for the most part a procedural, we are certainly aware of how there are at least emotional connections from one story to the next. We are going into this hour with the expectation of at least some carryover, but that’s to go along with some of the classic cases we have come to know and love. (Here is your reminder that we are going to get a season 2, so you do not have to worry about that.)
