The Count of Monte Cristo episode 8 spoilers: The epic finale

Next week on PBS, let’s just say to be prepared for something epic with The Count of Monte Cristo episode 8. This is going to be the finale and odds are, the conclusion of Edmond’s story.

After all, there are a couple of things worth noting as of this writing. First and foremost, this was billed from the start to be a limited series with a beginning, middle, and end. Also, it has aired already in some other parts of the world without any talk of a continuation in any form. Sure, we know that it can be nice to follow a group of characters for years but at the same time, we like that there can also be closure. That is especially the case for shows that are effectively an adaptation of a classic work like this one. Sure, we know that there are a number of other TV series over the years to nod to the original (including Revenge with Emily VanCamp), this is one of the more loyal versions you are going to find.
