So what is coming up here in terms of the story? Well, here is what Paramount+ is sharing in the form of a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 4 synopsis:
In season four of the Paramount+ Original Series, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise – led by Captain Christopher Pike – embark on a series of thrilling and emotional adventures across the stars. As they journey to strange new worlds, they will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colorful new characters, reunite with familiar faces and confront terrifying aliens. Through it all, they strive to embrace a bright, hopeful future.
In terms of the format, the Anson Mount series is not looking to radically change that much of what we have seen to this point. This is a show that really embodies the original intention of the franchise more than any other.
In looking further ahead…
We know that there is going to be a season 5 beyond this one, so that is something to be excited about in advance. Of course, it is also a bit bittersweet due to the fact that it has been confirmed already to be the final chapter. All things must end, but obviously this is sad given that this is one of those shows that we would love to see on the air for as long as humanly possible.
