With the premiere of Euphoria season 3 coming right around the corner, doesn’t this feel like high time to hear from one of its central architects? We tend to think so.

If you head over to the link here now, you can see a new video where creator Sam Levinson takes you through some of the early inspirations for this batch of episodes, including how a significant chunk of the story was actually inspired by a Western motif. This is why we are going to be seeing quite a bit of open plains and a different visual aesthetic this time around. He wanted a clear, visual reminder that the world for Rue and these other characters is significantly more open than it was in the first two seasons.

As so many of you out there more than likely know at this point, there is a significant time jump coming into season 3, and it is our feeling at this point that it is allowing the show an opportunity to play around with the idea of characters now trying to find themselves. These are people in their twenties now looking to understand where they belong and of course, there are going to be a lot of highs and lows that come along with that.

Are we still curious how all of these characters are going to be bound together, so many years after high school? You better believe it! Hopefully, that is something we will get clarity on pretty early on and nobody is going to make us wait forever in order to get a better scope of answers.
