Scrubs revival finale: Zach Braff shares early tease

We still have a couple of episodes to go until we make it to the end of the Scrubs revival (at least for the time being), so what can you expect?

Well, first and foremost, let’s just throw a reminder out there that these episodes could be a nice culmination of what you have seen so far. A significant chunk of the story so far has revolved around JD getting accustomed to being back at Sacred Heart as the Chief of Medicine — effectively taking over the job of Dr. Perry Cox. He has found his rhythm and yet, could something happen that radically shakes things up? Let’s just say that it is possible — and we do know that Cox will be coming back before the end of the season.

Speaking to TV Insider, Zach Braff himself was happy to set things up further with the following message:

“We really go out with a big bang in [Episodes] 8 and 9 … There’s a bunch of surprises and a bunch of reveals, and I think fans are going to be, really, really happy with the way we close out the season.”

We know that Braff and the rest of the cast are not necessarily looking at the revival as a one-season thing, so there is at least some sort of chance that things end with a cliffhanger. While we wouldn’t say that the stakes behind said cliffhanger are going to be of the highest stakes imaginable, it’s still possible. (In general, we do tend to think that nothing with this show is ever going to top what we saw in the season 8 finale — which may as well be the original series finale at this point.)
