‘The Newsroom’ season 2 spoilers: Another new clip, and a week away
Fans of “The Newsroom,” be prepared to stand with excitement, because in just a matter of a week, one of your favorite shows is going to return to HBO for all-new episodes that look to tackle some of the latest news of the day: From the Presidential election to the financial crisis, to even some social issues including the Occupy Wall Street movement (which happens to lead to one of the reporters for Atlantis Cable News getting arrested).
From a personal standpoint, though, the trailer below focuses a great deal on some of the conflicts coming up between specific characters. If you want to see more of Jim and Maggie playing the “will they or won’t they?” game, you have an opportunity to do that yet again. Meanwhile, you also have Will McAvoy telling Mackenzie to her face that if there was a way that he could blame some of his current troubles on her, he would have already done so in a heartbeat.
All of these stories are going to fall under a cloud of scandal, which includes a deposition that will go on for most of the season, and also allegations of a leak within ACN that could tear the company apart. We spent just about every waking moment near the end of season 1 wondering whether or not we would see this place survive, and we have a feeling now that we are about to see the same exact thing play out all over again.
What do you think about this new trailer? If you do want to check out some more of the latest news on “The Newsroom,” including the opportunity to watch a full recap of the first season, just be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
