‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock, Brooks Forester, and a Smart car

Usually when we see some of these elaborate dates occur on “The Bachelorette,” there are a multitude of frills that come along with them. Take, for example, what we are about to see when it comes to Desiree Hartsock and Brooks Forester. More often than not, when we see these sort of dates it involves a limousine, a helicopter, or just riding along on a float made of solid gold during a parade. (Okay, that’s a hyperbole … but you get our point.)

But to see these two enjoying some quality time in a Smart car in Madeira is something a little different. For one, there’s no way to get a camera directly in their face! These vehicles are much too small. Plus, it gives this sort of impression of economy or being environmentally sound, even though the truth of the matter here is that there are probably all sorts of other, less-tiny vehicles around containing camera crews (and very likely a helicopter to go along with it).

Judging from the outfits and the time of day, the timeline of this photo puts it early in the day, prior to the two parties having some sort of terrifying cliff picnic. What we don’t quite understand (at least for now) is why ABC is so keen to release every detail in the world when it comes to this date, but keep almost everything else a secret when it comes to the group date and the one-on-one date that is coming up.
