The Madison season 3 renewal: Is it possible over at Paramount+?

At this point, we fully acknowledge that it may sound a little reckless to start speculating over The Madison season 3. After all, season 1 has not even finished airing yet! However, a second season has already been filmed and in theory, there is a chance for the Michelle Pfeiffer series to continue.

With that being said, will it be popular enough to continue? That is one of the main question marks at present, given that Paramount+ streamed the first three episodes this past Saturday and the release strategy is highly unusual — especially for a project with a big-name producer at the center like Taylor Sheridan. This could be an experiment, or at least an acknowledgment that this could be a series better suited for binge-watching than some of the others that he has put together.

What we can say regarding the long-term future of The Madison for now is that some folks behind the scenes are certainly interested in keeping it going — provided, of course, that the audience is there. Speaking as a part of a new piece over at Entertainment Weekly, here is some of what Jane Wiseman, executive vice president and head of originals at Paramount+, had to say:

“I mean, this is, again, a love story — and an evolution — and so I do feel like there’s a lot more to tell.”

Ultimately, our hope here remains that there will be a sense of this at some point over the rest of year, and that will give the streamer enough time to truly look at all the numbers and better figure out what they want the long-term future here to be. In the end, what matters most is that everyone involved here does continue to believe in the story in a pretty profound manner.
