After what you see tonight on NBC, do you want to get the Law & Order season 25 episode 16 return date? Is a long wait ahead?

First and foremost, let’s just go ahead and get the bad news out of the way: The mothership crime drama is not going to be airing next week, or seemingly the week after. What is the reason for that? It seems to be twofold here, with one part of it being the rather-simple fact that the network wants to save some installments for later in the spring. Also, they may not want to air the show opposite the NCAA Tournament, which tends to generate a lot of big ratings in its own right.

As of right now the absolute earliest we are going to see Law & Order back is moving into April 2, and we hope that there will be a nice run of stories coming up after the fact there. We do not expect anything significantly outside the show’s format in episode 16 or beyond, but we will have to wait and see there.

So what is the future looking like for season 26?

Let’s just say that, at least for the time being, there is little reason to have any doubt. The folks to NBC clearly love working within the Wolf Entertainment universe and that could mean keeping this show going however they can. There is a chance that we are going to be seeing some sort of budget cuts, and that is largely due to the overall fabric of the industry right now. There are so many series that are trimming themselves down due to the simple fact that there are a lot more people watching streaming now as opposed to live broadcast television.
