Silo season 4 filming wraps; season 3 premiere date questions linger

For those eager to learn a few new things regarding Silo season 4 over at Apple TV, let’s just say there is some news today we are more than happy to share.
In a new post over at the streaming service’s Twitter, they confirm that production on the fourth season starring Rebecca Ferguson is now done. Season 4 is poised to be the grand finale, and that makes sense given that this will cover all of the Hugh Howey source material. Our hope here remains that there’s going to be action, drama, and of course great worldbuilding all the way up to the very end.

Now that we have said all of that, here is where some of the interesting questions still lie. After all, there is still no indication as to when the third season is going to premiere, even though filming on it has been done ever since last May. We recognize that post-production for a series of this scale takes some time; however, simultaneously we would have hoped for a little bit more clarity on this subject before now. Given that seasons 3 and 4 filmed back-to-back, Apple could release the former knowing full well that they will have the latter waiting in the wings.
Based on all the evidence we have right now, our hope is that season 3 could arrive this summer, with season 4 turning up in a similar time-frame in 2027. Then again, we’ve certainly learned over the years that Apple can really do whatever they want with a series like this, and really do not have to rush any sort of further announcement. Patience here is going to be key, as they have other series set for the next few months.
