Survivor 50 episode 2: Ozzy faces a big idol decision…

With the arrival of Survivor 50 episode 2 coming to CBS in just a couple of hours, why not look a little bit more towards the future? In particular, we do think that it is worth sitting down and questioning what in the world Ozzy Lusth is going to do with the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol that he now has in his pocket.

For now, let’s take the celebrity endorsement out of the picture and focus on the advantage itself. Ozzy knows there are specific rules for it, just as he’s aware that someone wanted him to have it. With that, he can’t necessarily guarantee that it will be a secret forever … so should he work to keep it a secret at all? This does actually create an interesting decision for him.

First and foremost, here’s your reminder that Genevieve did not give this idol to him with his best interest in mind; she did so assuming that he would someday get voted out with it in his pocket. Ozzy does not know her intent, but we actually do think that he may be smart to at least tell someone about this idol because of its parameters. If he found it in a way that you do a typical idol, our advice would be to not tell a single soul. But this is different for so many different reasons, and he has to contend with that.

After all, consider the idea that Genevieve ends up telling everyone later that Ozzy has it, and then they find out he’s been keeping it from them. They’ll want to vote him out right away, no? He’ll still be seen as a huge target now if he admits to having it, but this could also make it easier for Cirie / other people to blindside him later, provided they want to. They could try and do something to put his mind at ease, no?
