As we look towards Call the Midwife season 15 episode 8 on BBC One in just a single week’s time, there are so many things to say!

However, where do we start? We tend to think that it is worth noting that this is the epic finale, one that has even higher stakes than any other we have seen as of late. After all, this will be the end of an era for the BBC series in many ways. It is not the show’s final episode, but moving into the new year the plan appears to be to focus on a prequel. A feature film is going to come later, and at some point beyond that (presumably) we will have season 16. We imagine that many characters will still be around, but will Nonnatus House as we’ve come to know it? That is the question mark here as we know that things are changing rapidly in this particular part of the 1970’s.

In the end, we do tend to think the finale is going to address at least some of these loose ends — and honestly, shouldn’t they? We do want to get a better sense of what the future could look like, especially if we are facing a really long wait to see what is ahead. No matter what, though, we imagine that it will be emotional — after all, so many things are in the world of the show.
