Outer Banks season 5 premiere date: The best-case scenario
As many of you out there may be aware at this point, Outer Banks season 5 is very much coming to Netflix. Not only that, production has already wrapped! All of this makes us infinitely more eager for what is ahead, as we are prepared for a season that is dramatic, full of adventure, and even nostalgic at times.
With all of that being said, though … we are still well-aware of the fact that grief could be pretty essential to what we see in the early going here. It is hard for that not to be the case given what happened with JJ. There are still some moments ahead of joy — it’s hard for that to not e the case when we think about John B. and Sarah — but there are a lot of varying emotions that we are going to be seeing throughout this final chapter of the story.

So when is the absolute earliest we could see a lot of this play out? As great as it would be to have Outer Banks back in the relatively near future, that is not realistic and a certain amount of patience will still be required. Our sentiment is that a best-case scenario for a return here is going to be in the summer. That’s when you consider the amount of post-production that is required to get these episodes as perfect as humanly possible. You don’t want to rush anything, so we have to be realistic with our estimations.
On the flip side, we imagine that the worst-case scenario would be seeing the Pogues back either in the fall or close to the end of the year, regardless of if the season is split in half or not. It is hard to imagine a scenario where we are stuck waiting longer than that, mostly because Netflix has little reason to hold out on one of their larger hits.
