Tell Me Lies season 3 episode 8 (finale) spoilers: The shock factor
In a little bit more than 24 hours, we are going to have a chance to dive head-first into the Tell Me Lies season 3 finale — one that could mark the end of the series. There has already been a lot said over that, and of course that has led to questions as to whether or not every loose end will be properly tied up.
Now that we’ve said that, we also have to come in here and entertain another possibility, one that we would not have necessarily anticipated given this being a possible send-off — what if the show is actually even more shocking than anything we’ve seen before? Is there a chance that the producers could leave things off here on a jaw-dropper? There is a part of it that feels absurd but at the same time, very much possible based at least on some of what we’re hearing now.

Speaking to Decider recently, executive producer Meaghan Oppenheimer had the following to say regarding how this story ends up:
“I think it’s more shocking than any finale we’ve done before is what I would say. And I’m aware that the audience of this show specifically expect a shocking finale … We really we tried to deliver that, and I think there’s some surprises and some punches that they won’t see coming.”
We do think that there could be both surprises and also closure — these two ideas do not have to be viewed as mutually exclusive by any means. We do think the goal for the finale should really just be to generate conversation, largely due to the fact that this has been a goal for this show virtually for the majority of its run. Why would it be any different as we approach the endgame?
