Miss Scarlet season 7: Is it renewed, canceled at PBS?

In the wake of tonight being the season 6 finale of Miss Scarlet over at PBS, isn’t this the proper time to discuss a season 7?

On paper, you can easily argue that there are reasons to be excited for the future of the British drama. This feels like one of those programs that could feasibly go on forever provided that the ratings are good. You have an extremely likable lead, some great character dynamics, and also plenty of interesting cases week in and week out. PBS also has a history of supporting series like this for many years, so we are not altogether concerned about the future at present.

So why haven’t we heard anything official as of yet? Well, this is where we would issue a reminder that there is no real reason to think that a Miss Scarlet renewal is something that would be rushed into, especially since there is still plenty of time to reveal things one way or another. Our sentiment is that some official word will come over the next few months, especially if the goal remains premiering season 7 in the same window in early 2027. Because there are only six episodes a season, it does make the turnaround a little bit easier.

Now, let’s just cross our fingers and hope that the next batch of episodes is going to have a lot of twists and turns, plus romance and some great characters. Above all else, we just want the same escapism. One of the great joys of a show like this is being able to emerge in a world like this and spend time with some characters you love. There is a real value to a show like this, especially in a time when there are not too many others out there quite like it.
