Landman season 3: More Ainsley, Cooper bonding ahead?
At some point this spring Landman season 3 is going to start production — and will we start to get more teases around that time as to the story ahead? Let’s just say we hope so, though we recognize that Taylor Sheridan is as good at keeping secrets as almost any executive producer out there.
After all, the biggest teases that we’ve got about season 3 right now are almost directly connected from the season 2 finale. We know that Tommy Norris is now kicking off his own oil company after that “investment” from Gallino, and a good chunk of his family will be involved. That includes Cooper, who had already made an attempt at going it alone at the start of the season.

Is Ainsley going to be eventually involved? That remains to be seen, with one of the biggest question marks being how much she can do when she is actively in school. Michelle Randolph, who plays the character, is not necessarily thinking too much about that right now. Instead, her attention is more on whether she and her fictional brother will be able to get along after so much discontent.
Speaking in a recent interview on the Today Show, here is some of the actress had to say about the ongoing mystery:
“[Jacob Lofland and I] don’t know [why they hate each other]. We’ve both called Taylor Sheridan and been like, ‘Can you give us something to work off of?’ It’s really hard [for us] to hate each other, cause he’s one of my great friends.”
We do tend to think that eventually, there could be answers on this relationship, regardless of if it is in season 3 or some other point down the road. There may also be a reality here where they are just two different people who cannot ever view the world the same way. That may lead to natural tension that eventually bubbles over into something more.
