Fallout season 3 premiere date: A huge determining factor

We are a solid week removed from the Fallout season 2 finale and yet, here we are still thinking constantly about season 3. How can we not? We are talking here about a show that delivered constant entertainment, but then also left characters off in a really interesting spot. Because of that, we can’t be anything other than eager to see where the story will take them from here on out!

Unfortunately and as so many out there know, a rather long wait still lies ahead. Filming is not set to begin until the spring and while we do think the producers are moving as fast as possible, that may not be enough of a silver lining for everyone out there. This is a show that, at the earliest, may be set to return in the spring or summer of next year.

Now, there are obviously a number of determining factors that play a role into exactly when a series like this comes out, but there is one that a lot of people may not be thinking about. We are talking, of course, about the schedule. For season 1, the entirety of the episodes of the Walton Goggins – Ella Purnell series arrived at once. For season 2, it switched to a weekly model. There are certainly arguments on both sides, but the biggest case for the latter is simple: The entirety of the show does not have to be ready for the Fallout premiere to arrive at Prime Video. If your goal is simply to see any footage of the show sooner rather than later, then you really do have to look towards the weekly rollout as the right way to go.

As for what other premiere-date factors are, they are a rather simple mixture of things — think in terms of the filming schedule, time spent on location, and of course all the visual effects that need to be rendered after the fact. Prime Video is also a place that will not release a show until it works for their schedule.

What are you most excited to see moving into Fallout season 3?
