Next week on PBS, we are going to see Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 6 arrive on PBS — are you ready for something big?

Well, first and foremost, here is where we’ll state that there are some important things most likely coming around every corner — after all, we are dealing here with the finale! This is when we do tend to think a lot of different stories will come to a head — however, at the same time, there could be something surprising as well. Are we about to see a new foil for Eliza? This is certainly something that could set the stage for a lot of other stuff coming in general. (Technically, there is not a season 7 at the moment, but we are waiting to see what happens.)

When the mysterious death of a foreign ambassador sparks political intrigue, Eliza is called to investigate – this time, at the request of the formidable Governess. Tasked with solving the case alongside Inspector Blake, Eliza finds herself working with a woman whose power and intellect mirror her own.

Now, it is possible that this Governess is simply a friend, given the fact that she is the one who brings Eliza on board in the first place. However, the way this synopsis reads makes us a little curious — is there something more going on here? Even if she does not turn out to be some sort of rival, there is at least a chance that we are going to see some sort of interesting back-and-forth. One of the things that a show like this should always do is challenge their characters, and we are pleased to see that may be happening already.
