Is there a chance that we are going to learn more about Twisted Metal season 3 between now and the end of January?

Of course, it makes the most sense here to begin by noting just how eager we are to see the next chapter of the story. Not only was the second season really fun, but it also managed to give us a lot of what we wanted in terms of the video-game source material. We got a tournament, Calypso, and absolute carnage regarding a number of cars. Now, it does seem like season 3 could be moving into the direction of all-out war. There are some elements of this that could be familiar, but we also expect new wrinkles at the same time. We certainly know that there is one character in particular in Dark Tooth that could be coming, at least based on what we saw at the end of the season 2 finale.

So is there a chance that we are going to hear something more about this new season before the month is over? We would love that, but it feels like we’re probably going to need to be patient for a good while. Filming for the next chapter of Twisted Metal has yet to start and because of that, we do not tend to think we’ll be seeing Anthony Mackie or anyone else in the cast until we get around to 2027 — it would obviously be great if that wasn’t the case, but it does feel like we have to be realistic here. This show not only takes a long time to film, but you also have post-production and all the visual effects!

As for whether or not season 3 is the final one, that remains to be seen — we just know that we’ve enjoyed the show so much that we are not rushing to see it end.
