Well, first and foremost, it really just makes sense to get some of the bad news out of the way: The series finale is right around the corner. It is easy to feel bittersweet about this right now, as this will be potentially the last time you see a lot of these characters! However, it may not be the last time that you see Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan. Remember for a moment here that there is another potential show in the works that could feature him, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens there.

Now, this is where we get to the other bit of bad news here: You are going to be waiting a while to see the final episode. Even though Power Book IV: Force aired throughout the holidays, it is going to take January 9 off. The plan instead here is for the final episode to arrive on January 16. The title here is “Beginning of the End,” and the synopsis below serves as a better way to set the stage:

The mounting pressure for retaliation looms, as disastrous moves and shocking secrets shake the streets.

Will the finale satisfy everyone? That’s a really hard thing to do, and we don’t think that if you are showrunner Gary Lennon or any of the producers here, that even has to be your goal. Instead, we would just focus more on delivering an ending that makes sense for the characters in your mind. Allow viewers to feel a sense of completion to where even if Tommy moves on to another show down the line, his time spent in Chicago will very much matter.
