Squid Game: The Challenge season 3 premiere date hopes

Today marks the finale for Squid Game: The Challenge season 2 over on Netflix, but what more can we say right now when it comes to season 3?

Well, first and foremost, let’s begin by simply noting that another chapter for the reality competition show is seemingly in the works! The next version of the show is casting and by virtue of that, it is our hope that we are going to see a relatively quick turnaround here. The problem is simply getting the massive number of contestants necessary to pull off something like this. There can’t be any filler given that there is so much chance that exists within a show like this — you never know whose story is going to be worth telling.

So when will Squid Game: The Challenge season 3 actually arrive? Well, the primary thing to remember here is that even when production is done and the episodes are ready to go, it is still up to Netflix to figure out a date. For us personally, though, we’d like to see it back either later this year or moving into the start of 2027. Either one feels feasible, and it would also serve another purpose here in continuing to generate excitement for the next version of the franchise.

After all, it does still seem like the streaming service is interested in trying to tell more scripted stories within this world. However, doing so may take a certain amount of time for them. They need to figure out, for starters, all of the finer details about the apparent American version of the show in the works! While you can argue that the season 3 finale set the table for this, it was not actually intended to just set things up for that. Rather, that was just how creator Hwang Dong-hyuk wanted to say goodbye to his own version of the story.
