Outlander season 8 premiere date, new details revealed at Starz

After weeks upon weeks of questions, we are happy to know when Outlander season 8 is officially heading to Starz — and with that, bringing us the end.
This morning, the folks at the network confirmed that on Friday, March 6, the final season of the Caitriona Balfe – Sam Heughan series is going to arrive. This is a show that has been around for the better part of a decade, and the synopsis strongly indicates that we are going to get a lot of closure and nostalgia rolled all into one:
In the final chapter of “Outlander,” a heart-wrenching journey lies ahead for Claire and Jamie’s enduring love story. Audiences can anticipate tender romance and the edge-of-your-seat drama “Outlander” fans have come to cherish over the past eight seasons, as the celebrated and genre-defining series approaches its epic conclusion.

We do recognize that there are going to be some inevitable Game of Thrones comparisons here with the final season, mostly because this show is ending before the Diana Gabaldon book series. However, the producers have done a good job of coming out and saying in advance that the show and the books are not going to end the same way. That way, you can enjoy one without necessarily thinking that it is going to 100% reflect what happens in the other. There might be similarities, but everything is ambiguous for now.
The only thing that we would state with a certain measure of confidence here is that the show is going to end in an emotional way. After all, we have seen more of that with these characters and story more than almost any other one out there. Jamie and Claire have gone through struggle after struggle, and that is without even mentioning the arcs for people like Roger and Bree.
What are you the most wager to see at this point heading into Outlander season 8 when it arrives?
