NBC extends contract for Craig Robinson, could still have post-‘Office’ comedy
However, it does appear as though the tide could be turning for one of the shows in the comedy pilot starring Craig Robinson. The former cast member from “The Office” had been attached to star in a single-camera story about a musician who ends up becoming a teacher, but it was not one of the shows picked up as NBC opted to go in a extremely commercial and family-friendly direction with many of their series. Luckily, things could be changing now. According to Deadline, NBC has picked up the option on the show, meaning that they could revisit or rethink their decision in the new future.
So could we see this show on during the current season? It is possible that it could land at mid-season if the likes of “Sean Saves the World” and “Welcome to the Family” end up bombing, but it is also possible that this show could get another chance during pilot season in the spring. This is what we saw with another show this past year in “The Selection” on The CW, even if was not picked up for series at any point, either.
What do you think: Should Craig get another shot at this? If you do want to read some more news about everything that is coming on the air this fall, all you have to do is visit the story over at the link here.
