Now can Fox do anything to get Murder in a Small Town more viewers? That is something that we’ll have to wait and see on for a multitude of different reasons. One of the reasons why they liked this show from the get-go was its familiar format. However, at the same time, we also do tend to think that they appreciated the fact that it did not cost a lot of money to make. This is a network that has leaned more and more into unscripted fare and with that, there is a criteria that scripted content has to meet in order to stay on the air.

For this season, the murder-mystery show is going to be moving into a lineup that also includes Doc, a show that found some success after debuting at midseason. The biggest thing that both of them are going to be up against here is heavy competition, mostly because CBS has the NCIS lineup and ABC will be bringing back Dancing with the Stars for another season. These may be different audiences, but they also do take up a pretty generous amount of real estate.

What are you most eager to see at this point heading into Murder in a Small Town season 2?
