‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: The question now with Stephen Moyer’s Bill
Are we going to see a different side of Bill Compton on “True Blood” season 6? You can count on it, but still not one that is particularly likable after his whole Lilith-fueled transformation at the end of last season. The character could now be, by all intensive purposes, a Big Bad … or at least not the man who used to be extremely protective of Sookie Stackhouse at almost every turn.
Speaking to TV Guide, new showrunner Brian Buckner teases what is next for Bill by explaining just what his “Billith” transformation really means when it comes to his character, and also what that relationship with Anna Paquin’s character is going to be like now that he operates with a completely different set of rules:
“We prefer prophet. Bill’s more than just vampire and has powers we’ve never seen a vampire have … Bill and Sookie are not going to get on so hot. But their not getting on is kind of awesome.”
What seems incredibly interesting for Sookie in particular this coming season is how there are really going to be threats closing in on her from all sides. There is the whole Billith issue, and at the same time, there is another vampire out there in Warlow who they are desperate to find. Meanwhile, the entire state of Louisiana is out to try and destroy vampires for the “good” of humanity, as well as Sookie’s brother Jason potentially going off the rails (again!) as a result. There will be carnage, and Sookie could find herself at the center of all of it.
Do you think that Bill is going to be stuck in this form forever, or that there could be a way to bring the old Bill back? If you want to check out some more details from the Stephen Moyer-directed season 6 premiere, be sure to visit the link here.
