‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Will Gabz be ‘The One’? (video)

On Sunday, the audition round of “Britain’s Got Talent” will officially come to a close, and there are also some big decisions to be made in regards to who will be sent through to the live shows starting this week, along with who will be sent on their way back home.

For those of you skeptical about the talent level this year (and we’re sure there are some out there), we have a feeling that the show may have genuinely saved some of the best for last. In the video below, you can get a taste of what 14-year old Gabz has to offer. She plays the piano, definitely has a distinctive sense in fashion that seems to be part Little Mix and part Jessie J, and also has some serious urban music roots. We’re not sure “Britain’s Got Talent” has anything like her at this point!

The original song that Gabz performs here is entitled “The One,” and we would be lying if we were to say that it was either lyrically or musically perfect. However, there is so much potential here that we don’t know where to start. Gabz obviously has ambition to run laps around most people her age, and we applaud her immensely for not just going on the show and singing a cover we’ve heard a million times before. See that smile on Simon Cowell’s face? We like to read that as code for him thinking about all the ways he could potentially make money with her and a record contract down the future.
