‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: More Diggle … and thus, more Deadshot
After the excellent season 1 finale on “Arrow” on Wednesday night, it’s hard to really have too many complaints. However, there is still one that we have heard floating around in the past 24 hours: What in the world happened to the pursuit of Deadshot? This was the source of conflict between Oliver and Diggle in the first place during a previous fight, but it was shelved for the time being in order to focus on the plot from Malcolm Merlyn to take down the Glades.
Luckily, Diggle fans (and shouldn’t everyone be a fan of David Ramsey at this point?) have plenty to smile about next season. Speaking to Zap2It, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg promised that there could be some Ramsey-centric episodes in the new year focusing more on his past, and that one of the primary story-lines will be trying to find a way to take this villain down:
“Diggle’s pursuit of Deadshot is going to be a big part of Season 2 … The finale was already bigger and crazier and more nuts than we ever envisioned, so it’s not like we dropped the ball with that story, it was just a story we knew could live on into Season 2. Don’t worry. It is far from dropped.”
Also on tap for season 2 right now? Trying to bring Roy Harper closer together to the Hood, Moira Queen and Oliver bonding somewhat over how the two have now become so much more jaded than they once were, and Thea Queen continuing to grow up. We’re just sad that Tommy is not going to be around to see any of it after his character died in the rubble last night. For more commentary on that from Colin Donnell himself, just be sure to check out the story here.
